Shipwreck, Homebush Bay, Sydney
This shipwreck is also known as SS Ayrfield (originally launched as SS Corrimal). It was built in the UK in 1911 and registered at Sydney in 1912. It was purchased by the Commonwealth Government and used to transport supplies to American troops stationed in the Pacific region during WWII.
I was really surprised to know that there is a shipwreck just 20 min drive from my home. I was there with my friend Arfan Habib this weekend. Although when we planned, it showed 40% cloud cover but unfortunately it reduced to 6% on 6 AM. This one I took before the sunrise around 5:40 AM where you can see a part of residential buildings behind the shipwreck. I used CPL and Reverse Grad which cast the blue tone. Just after the sunrise a bunch of fog rolled out on the scene and I was able to shoot the foggy version of this shipwreck here.
Angle: I found 2 suitable angles to capture this shipwreck. Wide angle lens would help.
Shot Details: D800, Nikon 24-70, CPL, Reverse Grad, Photoshop, ISO 100, F16, 30 Sec, 44mm, EV -3.
Location: Homebush Bay, Olympic Park, Sydney. More info about the location.
Parking: Parking available
Walking: Approx. 3 min walking from parking.
Enjoy!
Thanks
